The EIPHC will be working hard on EARTH DAY to clean up our roads and waterways on Saturday, April 22nd. You can join us by land or by sea for a morning of litter pickup and an afternoon of play. By land, we will be picking up litter from Highway 24 and 58 intersection to the bridge (and a little bit on the other side of the bridge) from 11:00 am to Noon. If you want to help with the highway pickup contact Jean Jensen at 607-759-7159 or email
him at email@example.com. The highway pick-up crew will meet at the Emerald Club at 11 am to collect your bags and other materials. By sea, please contact Val Johnson at 919-906-6107 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up and see if we are still in need of boats, captains and worker bees. UPDATE (4/15/17) THANKS FOR THE GREAT SUPPORT – ALL “BY SEA” SLOTS ARE FILLED AT THIS TIME. The sound sweep is currently scheduled from 11:00am to 1:00pm. We will have an After Party at Pelican Island when the work is done and the club will provide hot dogs. Sound sweep boat captains will be available to shuttle highway (By Land) workers over to the island to join in the fun. Come out and help keep our “Little Piece of Heaven” clean!!
