On March 1, 2024 we will be “Going Wild for Wildlife“. The Emerald Isle Parrot Head Club will hold our monthly Phlocking at the EClub from 7:00-9:00pm. We will be fundraising for the Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter (OWLS) and it will be WILD!! Join us for special animal visitors, the 50/50 drawing, a silent auction table and Matt’s free food and music. If you are feeling WILD, wear your favorite animal prints or purchase an OWLS t-shirt or sweatshirt. There will be several ways to support this PHantasic organization. Donations from the attached Spring/Summer Wishlist are encouraged and much appreciated.  Please consider bringing a donation to the EClub or use the QR codes to place an order.  Stay tuned for information on ordering your own OWLS t-shirt or sweatshirt with special artwork by Big Bird, Annamarie Mead.

It’s time for the Phlock to come together and plan for 2024. Our annual Phluff the Phlock Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 21st at 3:30pm. We will meet at the home of Lois Gray at 6717 Ocean Drive. We will be electing officers and planning for the year’s events. We encourage all interested members to attend and participate in the planning. If you are interested in serving as a committee chair or club officer, please come and let it be known. Additional details are included in the monthly newsletter. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. Let’s make 2024 our best year ever!! See you there.

Hello Parrot Heads and Happy New Year!! Our monthly Phlocking will be held on Friday, January 12th from 7-9pm at the EClub. This is a change from our typical first Friday event due to the E-Club being closed for upkeep and maintenance. We will “Kick in up a Notch” for the New Year. Come celebrate 2024 with your Phlock!! Matt will provide food and music as always. We will have a 50/50 drawing to benefit Back Pack Kids. Hope to see you there because you know EIPHC members and Phriends love to “Party with a Purpose”.

ARRGH You Ready to Crawl?  Today’s the day and we are ready for a HUGE event turnout.  The PHUN will continue tomorrow at 34 North in Cedar Point at noon with our live auction, Chili Cook-Off and live music.  We want to remind everyone that the events of this weekend are all for the benefit of Make a Wish of Eastern NC.  The Emerald Isle Parrot Heads always “Party with a Purpose”.  Throughout the weekend events there will be posted QR codes for any additional donation or auction purchases that you make.  I am also including a link to our event on the Make a Wish website.  Please consider additional donations to this worthy cause if you are able.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the CRAWL today and at the CHILI COOK OFF tomorrow!!  Let’s get the season started in Emerald Isle.

Are you ready for some PHUN? It’s Island Santa Bar Crawl time in Emerald Isle. Online registration, pre-order t-shirt sales and event tumbler sales have ended, but don’t worry it’s not too late to join the PHUN. Remember, this event and all item sales benefit MAKE A WISH OF EASTERN NC. The Emerald Isle Parrot Heads love to “Party with a Purpose”. We hope that you will join us for a weekend of PHUN December 1st-3rd. Here’s the schedule and trust me, you will not want to miss any of it!!

DECEMBER 1, 2023 – Join us for our monthly PHLOCKING at the E-Club from 7:00-9:00pm. Pull out those Ugly Christmas Sweaters and help us start our weekend of giving with a 50/50 drawing, music, food and of course PHUN.

DECEMBER 2, 2023 – The Island Santa Bar Crawl will be taking place from 1:00pm-5:00pm. On site registration will begin at 11:30am. Registration will be $25. There will be a shuttle available throughout the event. We will have a limited number of event t-shirts available. Costumes are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED and Santa’s elves will be watching for the best individual and team costumes throughout the day. There will be a PHUN event game with cash prizes. Get there early for the event SWAG BAG with your registration. As always Matt and the E-Club will continue the PHUN when the crawl is complete so don’t rush home.

DECEMBER 3, 2023 – The Island Santa Bar Crawl “After Party” will be held at 34 North in Cedar Point. The Phun will start at 12:00 and will continue until you go home!!  We will have a Chili Cook-Off with prizes, live music by The Will and Tony Show and a live auction to benefit Make a Wish of Eastern NC. We have some great auction items including: a crab pot tree, photo canvases and artwork, a beach bicycle, a boat charter trip, wood carvings, Christmas decor, pottery, some fine bourbon and lots of fun bar decor.
Chili for the cook-off should be onsite by 11:45am and the tasting/judging will occur from 12:00-1:45. The auction will begin at 2:00pm. Call 34 North for a shuttle from the island.

The Emerald Isle Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023. The float committee has been working very hard on a great float for this years event. We would love to have as many members as possible to walk or ride and participate in the parade. The attached flyer contains important information for the event.

Your float committee has been working since October to build an awesome Christmas float honoring Jimmy Buffett!!  You won’t believe how awesome it really is. The theme is “Sailin’ to Margaritaville Heaven” and features a sailboat flying through the sky to heaven.  Since Jimmy was born on December 25, there is a birthday cake and all sorts of things associated with Jimmy Buffett.  You will have to see it to believe it.

We are asking Parrot Heads who would like to walk with the float,  to join the float at the corner of Black Skimmer Road as we enter Emerald Drive.  Families are welcome.  Dress for Christmas or dress in island attire, but, please, no reference to alcohol like Landshark hats, etc.  The judges will frown upon that!  If you would like to hand out candy, please bring a small bag or bucket.

Come one, come all and let’s have a huge turnout honoring our reason for being Parrot Heads!!
