Good morning Parrot Heads,

THANK YOU NOTE!
A big whopping “Thank You” and “Couldn’t do it without you” goes to our valued volunteers! This note is dedicated directly to YOU. The EIPHC Board each year spends endless hours planning and working to make our dreams come true. All members on the Board take their jobs seriously and represent the backbone of this club!
Big Birds are amazing as they plan and manage the monthly Phlockings. Some Big Birds become famous for strategically organizing our marvelous yearly events. Now, take a moment to think about those serving on committees, peddling T-shirts and raffle tickets, soliciting for donations and sponsors, working with vendors, providing and distributing media, developing and maintaining technical support, registering participants, being card sharks and Santa helpers, making floats, cleaning up highways and community projects and the list goes on and on and on!
Please keep this “Thank You Note” in mind as you attend our events. When you see volunteers doing their thing, stop and thank them. Let them know that we appreciate their smiles, enthusiasm. and hard work! Ask them how you can become a volunteer too! Even with no pay, it’s a great job!
I’ll see you guys Friday, August 6, at our Phlocking to celebrate the 19th year anniversary of EIPHC and then again Saturday, August 7, at our 17th Beach Bike Poker Run! Can’t wait! Visit our website www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com for details. Fins Up! Jan H. President
Are you ready to “Party With a Purpose?” It all begins on August 7, with $20.00 Fee and Registration at the E-Club at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1:45 (CUT OFF). Don’t be late! Make the event even more spectacular by dressing yourself and/or your bike according to one of the three themes: PHINS, PIRATES, & PARROTS. Although there will be no contest this year, pholks will be acknowledged and celebrated throughout the event for their innovative and thrown together ideas! At 2 p.m, walk, crawl, or ride, to 7 designated locations where card sharks await with a poker card drawing and a $5 mulligan to help you obtain a winning poker hand paying 1st $300, 2nd $200 and 3rd $100 cash! Our participating stops are offering special drinks and cash bars this year! Let’s reward them with tips and patience! Thanks to Trading Post, Beach Bums, Fish Hut, Snapperz, Flipperz, Gaffer’s and The Growler! PHINS UP!
Do you feel we have been invaded by tourist? Are you able to spot a tourist a mile away? If the answer is yes, then you are ready for the July Phlocking! I know you have observed and encountered some of the World’s Finest Tacky Tourists. You know the ones with socks and sandals, fanny packs, cameras around their necks, matching T-Shirts and the tell/tell sign of the odd sunburn. Now, lets see how much fun it can be! Show us your best Tacky Tourist impersonation and join us for the July 2nd Phlocking at the Emerald Club from 7-9 pm. Get ready, the tourist are coming!!! Proceeds from our 50/50 will be donated to Easter Seals UCP to assist families of autistic children with ABA therapy, summer camp and support.
Happy 4th of July!
THIS IS A TIME OF CELEBRATION!
And with June comes Summer! We’ve waited for what seems like a century. It’s time to celebrate doing what we do best! So far, the turnout and support from our Phriends and Phamily at our events has been great! I am certain, in view of the exciting events still coming, things will only get better! The regular phlockings will continue the first Friday of each month. Additionally, we’ll play hard and ride hard at the 17th Annual Beach Bike Poker Run on August 7 to help celebrate the 19th Anniversary of The Emerald Isle Parrot Head Club. This is a major event held every year to support the Kid’s Outdoor Odyssey Camp of Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
In September, our good phriend and beloved musician, Rick Lamb and The Phin Addicts Band will return for performances beginning at the E- Club, Emerald Isle, on Friday, September 3 during our regular phlocking and again on September 4 for a phlash phlocking at 34 North, Cedar Point. Rick and his band are well known in Parrot Head Nation and play all over the country with a trop-rock sound that is unbeatable. I can’t wait to hear them again!
Moving on, we’ll phlock to the beach on September 19 at the Coast is Clear Party to celebrate the end of summer season. Then, once again we’ll prepare to deck out in pink and bling as we strut down the sidewalks of Emerald Isle on October 9 for our infamous DIVA Walk. What a great way to raise money for cancer awareness!
There’s even more in store for us as we move through 2021. Keep up with our calendar and event details online and in our monthly newsletters at www.emeraldisleparrotheadclub.com. Have a safe & happy 4th everyone! Fins up! Jan H, President
