The PHIP Board has prioritized improvements in communication and connectedness among Parrot Heads. As a loose affiliation of independently operating chapters, it’s always been a struggle for the nation to unite and for Parrot Heads to get news and information about concerts, events, fundraisers and about their fellow parrot heads. Today, the PHIP Board is thrilled to announce the formation of a partnership with TritonApp, LLC, a Parrot Head-owned and Parrot Head-friendly company that is about to help connect Parrot Heads as we’ve never been connected before!

No need to wait! Go now to your App Store and download TritonApp, and register using your email and type in “PARROTHEADS” (all caps!) when it asks you for a company name. You’ll verify with a text code, and you’ll be up and running, with access to PHIP and MOTM social media and website, and lots, lots more.
The app will be especially useful for those attending MOTM, since you’ll have up-to-the-minute news and information at your fingertips.

Hello Parrotheads!  It’s January 2023, and that means we get together as “The Phlock” to plan the New Year.  I am excited to discuss the success of 2022 and what adventures are ahead of us in 2023!  The best way to get to know your fellow parrot heads  starts with attending this meeting.  I hope to see you there!

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

“PHluff up the PHlock” Invitation, Tuesday, January 10, 6 PM

As a member of the Emerald Isle Parrot Head Club,  you are invited to attend EIPHC’s PHLUFF UP THE PHLOCK annual membership meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday, January 10. The PHluffing will be held at the home of Lois Gray at 6717 Ocean Dr., Emerald Isle, NC, and pre-registration is unnecessary. Come as you are! There is plenty of meeting space and an elevator available. The focus of the meeting is to elect our 2023 Board members and Members at Large and to plan our events and monthly phlockings for the New Year!  This is your opportunity to serve on the Board, volunteer for a “Big Bird” position, be a committee member, suggest a new event or just VOICE your opinion!

Our BYLAWS contain the description and qualification for each position and can be reviewed at www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com on the MENU entitled “Membership.” Be advised that our meeting is casual and open-minded. New and fresh ideas are welcomed!

PARTY AT THE END OF TOURIST SEASON (ALTHOUGH WE LOVE THEM) ON THE BEACH TO THE LEFT OF THE PIER FACING THE OCEAN!

Michael Moyer continues as our Big Bird and is lining up all his help (weenie wrappers, set up and take down teams and raffle team etc.)   This is the first weekend of beach driving so it easy to get there, hitch a ride, or walk from the Pier.  Hotdogs will be available, just throw some money in the donation jar. We also ask everyone to bring a little something to share but remember it is HOT so plan snacks/sides accordingly. Also, bring your own beverage.There will be raffles, prizes, games and more. If you can contribute or secure any items for the raffle, please bring with you, or leave a note on our website www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com. This is the time of the year when we “take back our beach” as the Coast is Clear. Remember to be careful when driving on the beach as it will still be turtle hatching season and families enjoying the day. Proceeds from this event will go to Carteret County Humane Society. You can also bring dog and cat food or items listed below. They are always so grateful!  See you there!

WE KNOW IT’S LABOR DAY WEEKEND, but we’ve added our own version of celebrating with beer and cheer for all the workers among us! Let’s rock out with our favorite trop rockers, RICKY LAMM & THE PHIN ADDICTS ! Wear your favorite worker’s gear, i.e., hard hat, boots, nurse or doctor shirts, baseball shirts, farmer’s overalls, be creative! You may even win the 50/50 raffle. Profits will be donated to Carteret County Community Theatre which serves our county with tribute bands, plays and a roster of summer camps for local children. Cheers ya’ll!
