FRIDAY, 9/1, 7PM, E-CLUB – END OF SUMMER – LABOR DAY PHLOCKING WITH RICKY LAMB!!!
It’s here, the last long weekend of the Summer Season and what better way to celebrate than to join us at the E-Club with Ricky Lamb and the No Bad Days Band, great food and phabulous drinks! We’ll be celebrating with a summer and patriotic theme so come in your favorite beach wear or patriotic red, white and blue! This is a BIG NIGHT so bring money for our 50/50 raffle with proceeds going to “Books for Babies”and be ready to “Party With a Purpose!” This event is open to the public but we hope you will visit the Membership Table and become one of our new members for only $10! You’ll receive special attention! See you there!

July is here and nothing says summer better than Beer, Baseball, and Beach Bums! Our Parrot Head Phlocking will be Friday, July 7 at 7:00 pm. It’s a Baseball Theme so come ready to “Play Ball”! I know you Parrot Heads need another excuse to wear those cool Wood Duck Jerseys or your favorite baseball team shirt or hat. If you don’t dress for baseball; just come as a Beach Bum! Our host, Donna Grady has some fun activities planned as we raise money for the Carteret Community Theatre in memory of Jaime Long. Bring plenty of cash for donations, 50/50 and a chance to throw a pie in the face of our “infamous” mayor, Jason Holland and a few other local celebrities. Don’t forget to sign up for the Wood Ducks Beer and Baseball trip to Kinston on July 15! Seats are going fast!

Summer Scholarship Raffle Is Back
Once again we are having a summer raffle to help support the PHiP Bob Heffelfinger Memorial Scholarship. Our friends at Margaritaville At Seas have graciously donated a cruise for this year’s raffle.
Tickets can be bought individually or as a club. Club donations count toward Domino College recognition. Clubs can also use this prize toward your own fundraisers.
Please pass this information around to all your club members so that everyone has the chance for this great prize. The easiest way to pass this information along is to cut and paste this email and include it in your club email correspondence.
Parrot Heads in Paradise has been awarding qualified parrot heads and their children a total of $10,000 in scholarship every year for the last 13 years. fundraising has been just keeping pace with our payouts each year and we want to continue to add to the funds to ensure future years have adequate funding. To make sure that we can continue to award these funds well into the future we have come up with a great way to help the cause. Margaritaville at Sea has donated this cruise for two to raffle off . We will be selling tickets via PayPal or check going through August 30th. We will draw for the trip the second week of September via Facebook live. Tickets are five for $20 or five dollars for one. I will send you via email with the list of your numbers so you have them for your records. I will be tracking the name and numbers of every ticket coming in. Please make sure you send via friends and family or someone you know method or fees will be taken out as a business transaction. President’s Notes, January 2023
Hello Parrotheads! It’s January 2023, and that means we get together as “The Phlock” to plan the New Year. I am excited to discuss the success of 2022 and what adventures are ahead of us in 2023! The best way to get to know your fellow parrot heads starts with attending this meeting. I hope to see you there!
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
“PHluff up the PHlock” Invitation, Tuesday, January 10, 6 PM
As a member of the Emerald Isle Parrot Head Club, you are invited to attend EIPHC’s PHLUFF UP THE PHLOCK annual membership meeting at 6 pm on Tuesday, January 10. The PHluffing will be held at the home of Lois Gray at 6717 Ocean Dr., Emerald Isle, NC, and pre-registration is unnecessary. Come as you are! There is plenty of meeting space and an elevator available. The focus of the meeting is to elect our 2023 Board members and Members at Large and to plan our events and monthly phlockings for the New Year! This is your opportunity to serve on the Board, volunteer for a “Big Bird” position, be a committee member, suggest a new event or just VOICE your opinion!
Our BYLAWS contain the description and qualification for each position and can be reviewed at www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com on the MENU entitled “Membership.” Be advised that our meeting is casual and open-minded. New and fresh ideas are welcomed!
