March 11th is INTERNATIONAL FANNY PACK DAY worldwide, and lots of us experienced the accessory’s rise to glory in the 80’s. Known now by many names; BELT BAG, CROSSBODY, BELLY POUCH, etc., this iconic garb has survived over 4 decades of trends and fads.

So buckle up and come play some games, donate to 50/50, and socialize with the Phlock. The evening’s Phun will benefit the The We Can Be Association. It is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that provides funding for equipment, therapy, and out of pocket medical expenses for children and their families in Eastern North Carolina. Originally discovered by club members attending the New Bern Mardi Gras parade. Their organization uses funds to provide adaptive bicycles and trailers for special needs people. It was an amazing group to see and meet!

The core mission of Hope Mission of Coastal Carolina is addressing the needs of poverty, homelessness, and substance use in Carteret County and surrounding areas.

Let’s get this party going!! The Phlocking will serve two purposes:

To observe and honor Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Our 50/50 raffle proceeds will be added to funds raised from the Tu-Tu’s for Ta-Ta’s Walk/Run scheduled for October 11 and will be donated to Fishin’ For A Cure.  We all know special people who have been affected by Breast Cancer and want to aid in finding The Cure! 3. To provide funding for the Club’s future administrative expenses. You will have the opportunity to send your friends to jail and/or bail them out for $5! ALL IN FUN! Watch out for the Sheriff who can’t wait to lock you up!! This is your opportunity to give your friends what they deserve!

Since 1999, the Carteret Partnership for Children has proudly served the children and families of Carteret County, focusing on early childhood education, family support, and nurturing child and family health. It is dedicated to providing positive, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate experiences for children from birth to 5 years old.
