Wow…August already!! Where is the summer going? THERE ARE ONLY 44 DAYS UNTIL MEETING OF THE MINDS 2015 REGISTRATION CLOSES!!!  Meeting of the Minds 2015 Registration will close this year on September 15^th or when we reach 3500 people.

For all of you booked at the Casa Marina for Meetng of the Minds. REMEMBER THERE IS A 60 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY!! There is a wait list over at the Reach hotel. If you wanted to stay at the Casa Marina and are just now working on your MOTM plans…We will add you to a wait-list to be moved over to the Casa Marina if cancellations occur!! We were successful with this plan in past years and always try to make sure the Casa Marina is completely full of Parrot Heads!! Long time Meeting of the Minds musician John Frinzi returns with his band as a Casa Marina MOTM exclusive. He is a favorite of the crowd and the only way to see him at MOTM is to register for the event and join us at the Casa Marina stages! John will be all over the stages hosting a new version of his very popular “Friends” show which has been moved to the Thursday afternoon slot on the main stage. Re-badged as “The Singer-Songwriter Showcase,” this show continues to be a favorite of the MOTM week! Here is your chance to see The Singer Songwriter Showcase earlier in the day on the main stage with some very cool guests. Don’t miss this one. And don’t miss the John Frinzi Band on the main stage! They will rock it…

Don’t forget John’s band is the core group for the beachside album hour on Friday night.  They appeared as “The Shrimper Dan Band” for the very first Album Hour. This year the “surprise album” has been announced in advance to let you know that it is a very special event. Jimmy Buffett’s “A1A” will be played from beginning to end with many guests on the stage. I am bringing in a larger mixing board this year to handle the amount of artists that will be on stage on Friday night. Don’t miss this show as there will be special guests who played on the album such as Roger Bartlett on lead guitar and many other Coral Reefer Band members. There are other confirmed guests helping out…be there and don’t miss it!

The MOTM auction is back for 2015! After the MOTM general meeting on Saturday there will be an auction of many items I think you are going to like! All proceeds from this auction will go to the Lone Palm Foundation which is the charitable arm of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. https://lonepalmfoundation.org/  Be sure to join us for this event as there will be a live auction with many exciting items including many of the fixtures from Margaritaville New Orleans! Yes you can own a piece of this very cool establishment! I have already seen some very special show bills you will have a chance to bid on. You want to be at the auction on Saturday morning with all your PHriends. All proceeds of this auction will be donated to the Parrot Head Emergency Phund. The Lone Palm Foundation is a 501( c )3 so consult your tax advisor about your charitable donation to this organization.

Don’t forget that you can get the Parrot Head rate at Barefoot Billy’s Watersports! There will be a special rate of $99 for a 27 mile jet ski tour leaving the Casa Marina several times a day.
