Coast Is Clear Under the Pier is scheduled for September 25 at 12:30PM. Celebrate the slowing down of the season! The club is providing hotdogs, fixings and chips. If you would like, please bring a little something to share. Games , raffles and wonderful Parrot Head Fun!. Open to Parrot Heads and guests. Bring a beach chair and drinks for you and your guests. Fashion Show & Luncheon for a great cause

November 22 – Carteret County Domestic Violence Program Fashion Show and Luncheon 12:30 – 3:30 – Crystal Coast Civic Center – This annual event has some new and exciting things happening. Local businesses will display their wares to allow for lots of fun and a bit of Christmas shopping too! Join us for a great raffle and silent auction with some tempting items for you and your family to enjoy. Food will be provided by Floyd’s and of course a beautiful fashion show. Cycle for the Coast Supports NC Coastal Federation Efforts

Riders Leave in Waves on September 26, 8AM at Fort Macon State Park
North Carolina has some spectacular views, especially along our beautiful coastline. Sign up to ride on September 26 for the Cycling For The Coast annual event which takes place on the beautiful Island of Bogue Banks. Ride a 20K, 40K or 80K to help raise funds for the Coastal Federation’s salt marsh and oyster habitat education programs. Sign Up Online at NCCoast.org

Oct 2-3 Phall PHestival with Run for the Roses – Sign up at the Oct 2nd PHlocking to help with registration, to walk or prep, make or sell apple butter for Breast Cancer Research.

Walk for a great cause!

Alzheimer’s Association Longest Day  – June 20 We are looking for a few more Parrot Heads!

Who:  For every Parrot Head/Emerald Isle Sea Turtle Crawl member who walks for an hour/mile the Club will sponsor for $10 and we are hoping for 30 volunteers to participate.  

What:  Walk in small groups on the beach from Zone 13 to Zone 1 then to the Western Regional Access between 10am and 6:30pm

Where:  Beach area of your choosing.  If you are Sea Turtle Patrol you can walk your Zone; if you are a PH…walk with friends/family.  We will set up a walking schedule.  

When:  Let us know that you are interested in walking and what time of day (between 10am and 6:30pm) you want to walk and for how long (one hour, one mile…or longer

ALZHEIMER’S FUNDRAISER – BBQ FOR BRAINS.  JUNE 27TH AT 12 NOON.   Yard sale, Bake Sale, BBQ plates, brain games, auction.    The fundraiser will be held at Blissful Boutiques next to the Bank of America in Swansboro.  BBQ plates will be $7.

June 5 is the First Friday PHlock!

Yea man, our next PHlocking is Friday, June the 5th.  The theme is Woodstock and the 60s.  Dudes and dudettes, here’s your opportunity to dress up in your favorite 60’s duds.

There will be games, dancing, and of course, a 50-50 raffle to benefit Martha’s MIssion Cupboard in Morehead City. We’re hanging a poster board so dig out an old photo of yourself or your parents from that magical era for all to enjoy and reminisce.  Maybe you were a look alike to a famous rock star.  Bring that photo too.  

So brush up on the dance styles of that ” decade of change” and be ready to rock and roll.  Club and BBPR event t-shirts will be on sale from 7pm to 8pm when the games begin.  Feel FREE to bring along whatever you liked to munch on when you got the munchies.  Please, no brownies.   Your hosts Marsha Horner, Rita Babich and Gigi Linder.
