President’s Notes March 2021

Wow, we can finally see the sunshine for days at a time, go to the beach, sit outside without jackets, sleep with the windows open, enjoy the beautiful flowers and everything else that comes with Spring. This season also brings with it new fun and exciting events hosted by our club starting with a Scavenger Hunt in April, a Walk to End Alzheimer’s Challenge in May and a renewing of our regular monthly PHlockings beginning on May 7 at the E-Club. See our Newsletter for more information on these and other events.

Here’s wishing you a wonderful Easter with family and friends! Celebrate and be thankful of the time you have together! I’m looking forward to seeing you soon. Fins Up! Jan H. President

President’s Notes February 2021

We’re still here! It’s the end of February and the beginning of March which promises Spring and warmer weather! Lyrics from Jimmy tell us to  “Pick up the Pieces, Hit the Road Again. The World is What You Make it.” That’s exactly what EIPHC is going to do! I’m so excited about the events coming up! But first, if you haven’t registered for the “Phluff the Phlock” zoom meeting, STOP what you’re doing and do it now!  Registration is found on our website at www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com in the menu.  You must register by March 1 to be a part of the planning on March 7 and to learn what great things are headed your way in 2021!

Please review carefully the events found in your March Newsletter and mark your calendars! Come join us for our first Phlocking of the year on Sunday, March 21 from 3 to 5 pm at the E-Club. Note that it is scheduled at a different date and time than our usual monthly phlockings, However, it guarantees a great time of phun phellowship with plenty of room to safely distance outside.  In addition, the phlocking serves as a food drive for Martha’s Mission  either by your attendance or drive-by.  Get out your prized baseball gear and I’ll see you at the “SWING INTO SPRING FOOD DRIVE.”  Can’t wait to “Party with a Purpose,” with YOU!!! Jan H., Pres.

President’s Notes January 2021

It’s easy for us to get bogged down in the daily grind and lose our motivation in the things we really love to do. Don’t let that happen to you! Stay well informed by reading your Newsletter and visiting www.emeraldisleparrotheads.com often to keep up with what’s happening in the world of Parrot Heads.

A great way for you to know us better and become involved in upcoming events is to attend our annual “PHluff the PHlock” Membership Meeting scheduled for Sunday March 7, at 4 p.m. The meeting will be virtual and held via ZOOM. The February Newsletter will contain additional information. Your suggestions and involvement in deciding the directions we take this year is of great importance to us.  Let your voice be heard! After all, you are the reason we’re still here!

Lastly, you are reminded to renew or pay your dues for 2021. Thank you if you already have done so. Each of you is a valued member of this Parrot Head PHamily.  Listen up, it will get better, and the time will come when you can hug again, spill your drink on your best buddy, step inside someone’s space, dance like a PHool, and work side by side! Raise your glasses high and let’s drink to the adventures that lie ahead in 2021!  We will “Party with a Purpose.” Jan H., President
