30 years ago today … June 28, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio during the “Sleepless Knights Tour” at the Timberwolf Amphitheater (Kings Island). Jimmy Buffett commented that the fans who were returning each year in costumes were reminiscent of Deadheads. Timothy B. Schmit (who also played bass for the Eagles) replied, “yea Jimmy, Parrotheads”. Jimmy repeated it to the crowd… and the rest is history.

It is time to think about extending the summer season by heading to Key West as the weather turns colder…the weather will be awesome in Key West by November! Be sure to book your travel and accommodations for the 24th annual MOTM. Meeting of the Minds 2015 Registration will close this year on September 15th or when we reach 3500 people.

Jimmy Buffett spent some time in Havana, Cuba a couple of weeks ago. He did an impromptu show outside a bar in Havana. It was just Jimmy, a guitar, and a mojito. Some marines were there for the show and shot the video (they were a little off beat on the salt, salt, salt).
